About the Exhibition

A retrospective celebrating the art and life of Naomi Reich, who didn’t pick up a paintbrush until age sixty-four and turns 105 this December. Working entirely from imagination, she built a body of work, from landscapes to Jewish-themed paintings, that she says flows “out of my mind and my brushes.”

The retrospective brings together 33 paintings. Naomi painted at the Center for Modern Aging Princeton under the guidance of Hannah Fink. Her message to anyone who thinks they cannot paint: “Anybody and everybody can paint, although many people think that they can’t.”

“My mother has never been enthusiastic about selling her paintings; they are her friends.”
